Park Side Credit Union, based in Whitefish, Mont., has been singled out as an Employer of Choice for Flathead County.
The $190 million credit union was presented the award by the Montana Department of Labor and Industry. The Employer of Choice award is given to those organizations that go the extra mile to showcase what is valued as exceptional businesses.
Park Side CU has 81 employees and was selected for its open-door policy in every department, monthly all-inclusive meetings, community efforts. Volunteering in the community has been a priority at the credit union. Hours accrued by staffers who volunteer at credit union sponsored events can be used for paid time off.

The credit union was named one of the top large businesses with more than 26 employees and has been enterted to compete at the state level for the Montana Employer of Choice Award. The categories for employers to be judged range from employee benefits offered, website and workplace culture, to community orientation.
