The $41 million Horizon Community Credit Union in Green Bay, Wis., is converting to the CU*BASE core processing system from CU*Answers in Grand Rapids, Mich., the CUSO said.

Horizon Community is committed to providing advanced technology and competitive financial services that meet our members' ever changing needs. This mission requires that we have a strong, yet flexible core platform. CU*Answers will meet that need both as a technology provider and a long term partner,” said Patrick Josephson, the 4,200-member credit union's CEO.

The conversion is set for October, CU*Answers said. Horizon Community currently runs on the FIS Mercury platform, according to the Technology Survey from Callahan & Associates.

CU*Answers said it currently provides core processing to more than 200 credit unions across the country, including 160 directly and the rest through the cuasterisk network. Nineteen of those are in Wisconsin, the CUSO said.

The CUSO also said this week that is now is offering rebates of $2,500 to $5,000 to credit union clients who volunteer to beta test  the upcoming 13.0 release of the CU*BASE system.
