The $1.9 billion NEFCU in Westbury, N.Y. is launching “A Season of GivingDonations Contest” on its Facebook page.

Via a special application, “likes” of the page can nominate andthen vote for their chosen charity. All nominated charities mustmeet NEFCU's community-based goals. The organization with themost votes will receive a $2,500 charitable contribution fromNEFCU. The charity that receives the second highest amount of voteswill receive $1,500, and the third will receive $1,000.

The contest begins Nov. 26, NEFCU said. Nominations must be madeby 5 p.m. by Dec. 9 Voting will end at 5 p.m. Dec. 21. The winnerof the “A Season of Giving Charity Donations Contest” will beannounced Dec. 22 on the Facebook page.
