The $49 billion Navy Federal Credit Union said it has activatedits emergency relief program in response to the Colorado wildfires and the onset of hurricane season.

Vienna, Va.-based Navy Federal is offering the program to any ofits 3.9 million members who have been impacted by a nationaldisaster or other FEMA-declared emergency.

Included in the program are emergency relief loans, deferredpayments on existing loans, line of credit increases and freeexpress delivery of credit cards, check cards and checks, thecredit union said.

“We want to do everything we can to help,” said JackGaffney, executive vice president, Lending, at Navy Federal.“Helpingto relieve the stresses our members are facing and being therewhen they need us is why we're in business.”
