William Liddle, the former lending officer convicted in the AEAFederal Credit Union case, was reportedly stabbed Mondaymorning.
|According to the Yuma Sun, Liddle's attorney, David Eisenberg received a callfrom Liddle saying that he was hit in the head and when he came tothere was a knife in his chest.
|Liddle was scheduled to be sentenced Monday for his role in amillion-dollar loan kickback scheme that led to conservatorship andnear collapse of AEA FCU in Yuma, Ariz.
|Liddle was taken to the hospital, the publication reported.Eisenberg said Liddle was not seriously wounded and wanted toattend the sentencing. He is still set to be sentenced at a laterdate.
|Meanwhile, Liddle's wife, Rhonda, was sentenced to 12 months'home incarceration and five years of supervised release for herrole in the loan scheme.
