North Carolina Gov. Beverly Perdue, second from left in the front row, stopped by to say hello at a gathering of CUaware recently in Raleigh. The group, which meets monthly to foster interaction in and awareness of the credit union movement, were at Tyler’s Taproom when they learned the governor was there, too, and asked for a photo with her. They said she’s a credit union advocate and member herself. Members of CUaware on hand were from Coastal FCU, Local Government FCU and the North Carolina Credit Union League.
