SANTA ANA, Calif. – Orange County's Credit Union Board Member Dan Lucas has recently been honored for 40 years of dedicated service and being an exemplary credit union volunteer. Lucas joined the board in 1966 and has served in a variety of positions including board chairman. "I've enjoyed partnering with fellow board members and credit union staff expanding our field of membership and adding new products and services. It's always been a learning experience and one that has carried over to my family's personal finances," said Lucas referring to the fact that his wife and three grown sons have all financed cars and homes through the credit union. Lucas earned both his BS and MA in Public Administration from the University of Southern California. After working for 30 years for the County of Orange in Human Resource Management, Lucas retired and now does HR consulting for various public agencies in the southland. He also has served our country with three years of active duty in the U.S. Navy and spent 20 years in the Navel Reserve, retiring as LCDR.
