WASHINGTON-The National Association of Community Credit Unions (NACCU) has announced that it will be relocating its annual conference due to the hurricane and flood damage in New Orleans. NACCU originally had planned on holding its 2006 Annual Conference at the Wyndham Canal Place in New Orleans but decided to move the convention to Caesars Palace in Las Vegas due to concerns that New Orleans would not be ready to host events in time. "NACCU remains committed to hosting its annual conference in New Orleans and helping to rebuild the city's reputation as a top conference destination," NACCU Executive Director Marc Selvitelli commented. "To demonstrate our firm commitment, NACCU agreed to host a future conference in New Orleans at our original property, the Wyndham Canal Place." Despite the move, NACCU is still on schedule to announce the speakers' list and topics mid-spring. "Furthermore, information regarding the hotel, room rates, and important conference dates will be available on our website, www.naccu.coop, in early 2006," Selvitelli said.
