Grant applications from credit unions that are recognized as community development financial institutions to the U.S. Treasury's CDFI Fund may face stiff competition, the fund's data suggested.

SWBC and Member Business Lending LLC said that six new credit unions have signed on to offer their members the SBA's lending programs.

Akcelerant Software LLC said it added nearly 40 new customers in 2010 and now is nearing 60% penetration of the market for credit unions exceeding $1 billion in assets.
