This past week, four credit unions revealed new hires andpromotions. Plus, two credit unions celebrated recent accolades,and a credit union CEO was appointed chairman of a universityboard.

The $4.7 billion Ent Credit Union inColorado Springs, Colo., hired BryndenFlick (pictured) as insurance service representative.Flick has more than four years of experience in the insuranceindustry and most recently served as an insurance specialist atUSAA in Colorado Springs. Flick is licensed in Colorado forproperty and casualty, life and health insurance. He will focus ondeepening member relationships and servicing existing memberinsurance policies.

The San Diego Business Journal recognizedTeresa Halleck, president/CEO of the $7.7 billionSan Diego County Credit Union in San Diego, at the23rd annual Women Who Mean Business Awards. The awards programrecognizes business leaders and role models who have contributedsignificantly to San Diego's businesses. Halleck, who joined SDCCUas president/CEO in August 2010, was among more than 200 finalistsselected by the San Diego Business Journal, a SanDiego regional weekly business publication.

Alaska USA Mortgage Company, a wholly ownedsubsidiary of the $6.4 billion Alaska USA Federal Credit Union inAnchorage, Alaska, hired AndyRosales (pictured) as director, mortgagesales. Rosales brings a wide range of mortgage experience tothe position, having previously worked as a loan officer, salesmanager, regional sales manager and multi-state salesmanager.

Dan Stoltz, president/CEO of the $868 millionSPIRE Credit Union in Falcon Heights, Minn., waselected chairman of the board for the University of Northwestern,St. Paul. Stoltz is a CPA and holds a bachelor's of science degreefrom the University of Northwestern, St. Paul, and a masters ofbusiness administration from the University of St. Thomas. UNW is afamily tradition in the Stoltz household; his wife and all threechildren graduated from UNW.

The $1 billion Firefly Credit Union inBurnsville, Minn., was honored with the first place national 2016Desjardins Adult Financial Education Award. The award recognizesleadership within the credit union movement on behalf of adultfinancial literacy. Firefly was recognized for its Learn@Workprogram. Winning the Minnesota statewide competition, Fireflyadvanced to the CUNA awards earlier this year. The Learn@Workprogram went up against all statewide winners to become nationallyrecognized with this honor.

|

The $442 million Family Trust Federal CreditUnion in Rock Hill, S.C., named PennyPratt (pictured) president/CEO. Pratt brings morethan 30 years of financial experience to the position. She beginsher role as president/CEO mid-January. Pratt, currently EVP and COOof SAFE Federal Credit Union, will replace LeeGardner, who retires Dec. 31 after leading Family Trustfor 37 years.

The $2.4 billion Municipal Credit Union in NewYork City promoted nine senior executives.

Kim Thompson (pictured) was promoted toEVP/chief human resources labor relations officer. She has beenwith MCU for 27 years and was most recently SVP/chief humanresources labor relations officer.

Janet Perkins was promoted to SVP/chiefinnovation officer. She has been with MCU for 14 years and was mostrecently vice president of process engineering. In this newlyestablished role, Perkins will be responsible for theidentification and implementation of new products and technologiesthat lead to operational improvements and better service deliveryto members.

Louise Cogan-Rupani (pictured) was promotedto vice president of marketing and e-commerce. She has been withMCU for more than eight years and was most recently assistant vicepresident of marketing.

Michael Mattone was promoted to vicepresident/public relations and corporate communications. WithMattone's promotion, MCU has established a separate publicrelations/corporate communications department within the creditunion. Mattone has been with MCU for more than seven years and wasmost recently assistant vice president/public relations andcorporate communications.

Steve Kibitel (pictured) was promoted to thenewly created position of vice president/product management andresearch development. Kibitel has been with MCU for more than 20years and will be responsible for the development of new productsand services that enhance member relationships at the creditunion.

Helen Brennan was promoted to assistant vicepresident/marketing and e-commerce. She has been an MCU employeefor more than 10 years and was most recently senior manager ofmarketing and ecommerce.

Shawn Morton (pictured) was promoted toassistant vice president/member service operations and projectmanagement from senior manager. Morton has been with MCU for morethan 20 years.

Susan Ng was promoted to assistant vicepresident/operational risk management. Ng has been with MCU for sixyears and was most recently project manager/operational riskmanagement.

Stacy Riley was promoted to assistant vicepresident/financial risk. She has been with MCU for the past threeyears and was most recently a financial analysis manager.
