Professional Woman's Magazine recognized the NCUA as aBest of the Best place to work for women, the agency saidThursday.

DiversityComm, Inc., the parent company of the magazine, is ahuman resources research and consulting firm that specialized inworkplace diversity. Each year the company conducts evaluations ofemployers, including government agencies and chooses the “Best ofthe Best” based on their outreach and accessibility to AfricanAmericans, Hispanics, females and veterans.

The NCUA's Office of Minority and Women Inclusion sends a reportto Congress each year about the agency's diversity efforts, asmandated by the Dodd-Frank Act. According to the most recentreport, representation of women in executive positions at theagency increased by 11.2 percentage points since 2011 to 42.6%.Minorities, which included multiracial employees, collectivelyjumped 1.6% from 2011 to 26.8% of the NCUA's workforce in 2013.
