The $190 million Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union located in Houston, Texas has hired Brett Wooden for the newly created position of senior vice president of marketing and innovation. Prior to joining Cy-Fair, Wooden held positions at Unitus Community Credit Union in Portland, Ore., where he developed a reputation for using technology to attract new members. Wooden is an active member and leader with several credit union industry groups, including the Filene Research Institute, and serves on the Advisory Board for Chatter Yak! Wooden holds a B.A. from Portland State University.

The $7 billion Security ­Service Federal Credit Union in San ­Antonio announced that Fred Salyers is its newest community and corporate development manager. Prior to joining SSFCU, Salyers was a production manager for iRex Group, Ltd., a supplier of contract manufacturing services of custom cables, system integration, and electronic sub-assemblies in Austin, Texas. In his seven-year career there, he also served as a safety officer and logistics manager.
