He takes over in late January from William Page, who is retiring after more than 38 years at South Florida Educational FCU, the last eight as its president/CEO, the credit union said.

DiBenedetto is currently executive vice president of administration at the $785 million, 115,000-member FirstLight FCU in El Paso, Texas. He's a CPA with an MBA from the University of Alabama and had previously been executive vice president at Dade County FCU in Doral, Fla., and an NCUA examiner for nine years, his new employer said.
