The $55 million, 9,200-member Telco Credit Union in Tarboro, N.C., plans to convert to the NewSolution core processing platform from Share One of Memphis, Tenn., the credit union and CUSO said.
Telco CU President/CEO Charles Johnson said the decision was made after testing competing core systems in a simulated environment.
“We want to take full advantage of the system, and we feel that now and in the future, the resources will be there for us,” Johnson said. He said the credit union is now eyeing creating a relationship account using its new platform's NSQuery report writing capabilities.
Telco CU currently runs on a Sharetec platform, according to the Technology Survey from Callahan & Associates.
Share One now provides core processing to about 90 credit unions.
