Symitar said it will be converting the $886 million Andrews Federal Credit Union in Suitland, Md., to its core processing platform.
The 96,300-member Andrews FCU cited stability, product evolution and integration with third-party solutions in its decision and said it expects to see efficiency gains of an estimated 20% through automation that includes a contact center and account opening.
The credit union said it will run the system in-house and also will deploy other Symitar solutions, including online banking, IVR, personal financial management, member relationship management and data warehousing tools. "The added efficiencies will enable us to provide better member service and, at the end of the day, it is all about giving our members the products and services they need as well as the attention they deserve," said Jim Hayes, executive vice president and chief financial officer at Andrews FCU.
