The $5.9 billion American Airlines Federal Credit Union of Forth Worth, Texaspaid a $10 million bonus dividend to its members on Dec. 31, the credit unionannounced.
|American Airlines FCU based the bonus dividend payout ondividends earned on qualifying share accounts through Nov. 30, 2011and/or interest paid on applicable loans from Jan. 1 to Nov. 30,2011. Members who participate in three of the CU's eight majoraccount categories received an additional bonus of $50, the CUsaid.
|“Our ability to provide our member-owners once again with thisbonus dividend is a testament to the sound lending decisions andefficient operation that have kept us secure, strong and solid,”American Airlines FCU President/CEO Angie Owens said. “And we'realways happy to provide a bonus to our most loyal members who havemultiple products with us.”
|The 76-year-old credit union serves more than 231,000 membersnationwide, comprising present and retired employees of AmericanAirlines, their family members and air transportation workers.
