The $529 million SESLOC FCU has found its next leader.

Geri LaChance, chief operating officer at North Island Credit Union in San Diego, has been tapped as the new president/CEO of the San Luis Obispo, Calif., credit union.

Effective December 2011, she'll succeed Bertha Foxford, who is retiring after 48 years with the 34,000-member SESLOC.

LaChance has been at North Island, for 23 years, 19 as a senior executive.

Her responsibilities at the $1.1 billion, 86,000-member San Diego CU have included branch and contact center administration, the investment and insurance division, marketing and public relations, human resources and legal.

LaChance is a graduate of the University of San Diego, where she earned a bachelor's degree in business economics and an MBA in marketing. She also holds a Master's Certificate in Finance from the University of Maryland.
