Fiserv Inc. said it now has signed 150 credit unions has users of Mobile Money platform.
The solution provides account balances and history, fund transfer and bill pay, and supports all three of the commonly used access modes: text messaging, browser-based and downloadable apps. It uses mobile technology from M-Com in Atlanta and is available both in-house and since last fall, in a hosted, application service provider model, the company said.
Eighty-four of the contracted users are now live on the platform, including $330 million Call FCU in Richmond, Va.

"Our members find it very easy to use, and like that they can self-enroll from our
website," said the credit union's chief operating officer, Karen Salmons. "We hope Mobile Money eventually will help to reduce our call center volume, as we encourage more members to use this convenient and cost-effective vehicle for self-service."
Salmons said her credit union chose Mobile Money because of its integration with other Fiserv solutions in use at Call FCU, including the Portico core processing system. She said more than 300 of its 31,000 members already have signed up to use it.
