Greylock Federal Credit Union, Pittsfield, Mass., announced the promotion of managers Matt Chaput, Janine Maschino and Victoria May. Chaput, who will assume the role of vice president asset quality and indirect lending, will communicate with auto dealers and seek to maintain the credit union's position as No. 1 auto lender in Berkshire County. Maschino will become assistant vice president information systems and head contingency planning as well as overseeing IT audits. May, the incoming assistant vice president marketing promotions and partnerships will forge partnerships for the credit union in growth regions.

Kennedy Space Center Federal Credit Union, Merritt Island, Fla., employee Susan Smith earned the NCCO designation after completing the NAFCU certified compliance officer program. Smith, currently the vice president of compliance at the credit union, has worked with the credit union for more than 25 years and has held a variety of positions from teller to loan officer. Her new designation is a testament of the credit union's tangible commitment to regulatory compliance.

Tennessee Credit Union League, Nashville, Tenn., inducted Craig Esrael, president/CEO of First South Credit Union, and Milton Ward, chairman of the board for Kimberly Clark Credit Union, into the TCUL Hall of Fame. Esrael's arrival at the credit union in 1983 ended a six-quarter streak of net losses and marked the beginning of a transformation that saw capital growth of over 4000% and 13 new branch expansions. Milton has 37 years of experience within the credit union industry and is highly respected within his Memphis branch.

South Carolina Credit Union League, Columbia, S.C., downsized its 14-member league board to seven at the annual meeting in Myrtle Beach. The new members are Rick Hammond, president/CEO of S.C. State Credit Union, and Robert Harris, CEO of Health Facilities Federal Credit Union. Re-elected were Faye Crocker, CEO of Greater Abbeville Federal Credit Union; Jerry Miller, president/CEO of Caroline Trust Federal Credit Union; Ray Partain, chairman of the board for Anderson Federal Credit Union; Ed Templeton, president/CEO of SRP Federal Credit Union; and Linda Weatherford, vice president at SPC Cooperative Credit Union.

Volunteer Corporate Credit Union, Nashville, Tenn., announced that Susan Wilkerson has been promoted to assistance vice president compliance. Wilkerson has been with the credit union for 25 years and held a variety of positions from reconcilement specialist to manager of product support. During her time at Volunteer, she has also worked to develop and implement a vendor management program and business continuity program.

MIDWEST

Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union, St. Paul, Minn., recently introduced Lori Trygg as the credit union's newest elected board member. Trygg will help set policy and governing affairs at Affinity. She has more than 25 years of experience with insurance and financial services and is actively involved in volunteer activities in her community. Trygg also serves as the associate general counsel and compliance officer for the MMIC, a health information and medical liability insurance company.

WEST

Security Service Investment Group, Pueblo, Colo., announced that Jennelle Chorak will assume the position of senior financial consultant. Chorak's new responsibilities will include providing financial planning advice for members in the Pueblo area. With more than eight years experience in banking and investment services, Chorak has held positions at Wells Fargo Bank and Wells Fargo Investments. Chorak also serves her community as a board member for Pueblo Child Advocacy and the Pueblo Rape Crisis Center.

OnPoint Community Credit Union, Bend, Ore., selected Paul Stednitz as Central Oregon vice president and regional manager. Stednitz's new position includes overseeing the opening and management of three new branches in Deschutes County in 2010 and other organizational expansion. Stednitz has 14 years of experience at Liberty Bank in Bend where he most recently held the position of senior vice president and regional manager.

First Financial Credit Union, West Covina, Calif., announced the promotion of Vivian Dominguez to the position of vice president call center and Torri Scott to the position of vice president marketing. Dominguez and Scott will be responsible for managing the credit union's core product design from beginning to end in their respective departments. Sandra Sarabia was also promoted to vice president operations, and Kathy Tichenor will assume the assistant vice president asset quality position. Sarabia will oversee the credit union's member support division, and Tichenor will coordinate lending and collections efforts.

Elevations Credit Union, Boulder, Colo., elected Carroll Beach and Carol Krismann to its board of directors. Beach, currently president and chief operating officer of CO-OP Shared Branching, is a recipient of the Herb Wegner Lifetime Achievement Award, one of the most prestigious recognitions given in the credit union industry. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Kansas and a master's from Emporia State University. Krismann, who was re-elected to the board, originally joined Elevations as a member of the supervisory committee, where she served for seven years. Krismann holds a bachelor of arts degree in art history from Smith College and a master's in library science from Columbia University.
