A co-op fund-raising campaign led by the $465 million DuTrac Community CU of Dubuque, Iowa and joined in by a gas station chain and radio DJs to help victims of the July 24 Lake Delhi flood, has brought in just under $25,000.
"We're just thrilled and amazed at the response," said Jason Norton, senior vice president-marketing/business development. In addition to the cash donations, eight separate truckloads of food and supplies collected at Rainbow Oil stations last week were being distributed to victims of the devastating dam flood on the Maquoketa River.
Several weeks of heavy rains in eastern Iowa prior to the dam burst brought on flooding in several river towns in Delaware, Dubuque, Jackson and Jones Counties.

All last week moneys for the 2010 Flood Disaster Relief Fund were being collected at DuTrac branches and at the gas station chain under auspices of the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque.
DuTrac said the $24,600 raised so far includes contributions from thousands of bike riders who passed through the flooded area during the annual Des Moines Register "Ragbrai" ride over the weekend.
