Through a number of free, promotional materials, Beyond Marketing LLC has launched a web site to help credit unions change misunderstandings about membership eligibility.
The Lenexa, Kan.-based CUSO created BFree, which will house a new marketing product for free download each quarter. Currently, the site features two posters, a statement stuffer and post card focusing on credit union benefits. The site also includes a rates table that compares credit union rates to bank rates. Future marketing materials will be available for promoting auto loans, mortgage loans, checking, certificates of deposit, IRAs and more, according to Beyond Marketing.
"Our primary research shows that consumers have the misconception that belonging to a credit union requires an employment status with a certain company or a membership fee," said Curtis Hays, director of strategy for Beyond Marketing "Our goal is to change that misconception and one way of doing that is by offering free, creative promotional materials to help credit unions brand themselves."
