The California/Nevada Credit Union League has kicked off its search for a successor to its president/CEO, Bill Cheney, who is taking the CUNA helm July 5.

The league said it has hired O'Rourke and Associates of San Francisco to help in the recruitment effort, slated to end by its annual meeting Nov. 15-17.

Top candidates selected from the applicant pool will be presented for interviews to the seven-member executive committee of the league board, chaired by Brett Martinez, president/CEO of Santa Rosa, Calif.-based Redwood CU. The committee will then present its final recommendation to the board for approval.
