Centra Credit Union, Columbus, Ind., announced the promotions of two employees. Brian Schoettmer, a 25-year financial services veteran, was promoted to assistant vice president-member operations. Amanda Burton was promoted to manager of the credit union's National Road branch. Burton has been with the credit union for nine years.

Wanigas Credit Union, Saginaw, Mich., announced that Linda Ramon has been hired as the new collection manager. Ramon is a lifelong resident of the Saginaw region and comes to the credit union with 19 years of extensive experience in collections.

Greater Minnesota Credit Union, Elk River, Minn., announced the hiring of Rebecca Klemz as branch manager for its Elk River branch. Klemz has 27 years experience in the credit union industry. She has worked in management, consumer lending, call center administration, member services, regulatory compliance and staff development and training.

California Bear Credit Union, Los Angeles, announced that board member Sherman Grancell celebrated his 100th birthday and 58 years of service on the board of directors. Grancell is one of the founding members of UCLA and graduated from USC Law School. He is also a major sponsor of the arts in Los Angeles, funding scholarships at both the UCLA and the USC schools of music, the Coburn School of Music and the Skirball Museum and Cultural Center.

TruHome Solutions, Lenexa, Kan., announced Sherri L. Smith has joined as vice president of sales. Smith joined the organization from Wintrust Mortgage Corp., Overland Park, Kan., where she was vice president and regional wholesale manager.

TCU Investments Services, South Bend, Ind., announced that Therese Kantar, wealth management adviser, received her designation as a certified financial planner. Kantar has worked at the organization since 2004 and is responsible for financial planning for credit union members at the wealth management center located in South Bend.

Avista Solutions, Columbia, S.C., announced the hiring of Jerry White to the dual positions of chief operating officer and chief financial officer. White brings over 25 years of financial experience to Avista, most of which have been spent with technology-focused firms. He joins Avista after five years with Metavante Banking Solutions, in Orlando, Fla., where he was chief financial officer for Bankway, one of the company's core products. White holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Central Florida. He received his MBA from Webster University.

DCU Realty, LLC, Marlborough, Mass., announced the appointment of Kim Chagnon to the position of manager/broker. Chagnon has an extensive background in real estate expertise, sales, and management experience. Prior to joining DCU as sales and business development team leader in 2007, she was a Realtor for the MapleCliff Real Estate in Northbridge, Mass., and was named agent of the year in 2004, 2005, and 2006.

CO-OP Financial Services, Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. announced the naming of Jim Blouin as regional sales manager-northeast. Blouin has more than 20 years of credit, debit and ATM processing sales and relationship management experience. He joins CO-OP from Fidelity National Information Services, Inc. (formerly Certegy Card Services), where he spent more than 12 years.
