The Web-based FoolProof literacy package being promoted by the Credit Union Associations of Colorado/Wyoming is gaining more state leagues as partners and adding sizable numbers of high school students.
Over the New Year's holidays, Foolproof picked up the Tennessee and Ohio Leagues as participants bringing to 11 state trade groups in the subscriber list.
In addition, FoolProof also announced that over 30 high schools in one week signed up for FoolProof for High Schools in New York State following affiliation last year by the Credit Union Association of New York.

There are schools now in 35 states using FoolProof as part of the curriculum. It emphasizes "critical thinking and which teaches people how to safely navigate the free enterprise system," said FoolProof officials.
"Most financial literacy programs teach the technical aspects of money like how to balance a check," said Will DeHoo, FoolProof CEO, whereas his program stresses "where's the smartest place to have that checking account."
