We live in a world of numbers. As finance executives we rely on percentage points, ROA and marketing ROI analysis and valuation of assets. As a publishing executive, I rely on numbers to tell the story of magazine value. Market-share analysis, ad page counts and, in recent years, digital statistics on our Website and daily news alerts that tell me if our messaging is resonating with you, our readers.I am pleased to announce we have set new record for Credit Union Times in the last 30 days. According to Google Analytics, www.cutimes.com hit the following benchmarks as of April 6:More than 110,557 total visits from March 5 to April 6;41,840 unique visitors; and292,461 total page views. What does this mean? It means the credit union movement has made a choice to use www.cutimes.com as their source for accurate need-to-know news and information updates. On occasion, I am asked to profile Credit Union Times as it compares to the other credit union magazines. There is no comparison because all credit union publications are different. I have my opinion, but there's no good response to this question because, frankly, any answer at all will be construed as a promotional pitch. I'm a firm believer in the old adage that actions speak louder than words and prefer to use statistics and third-party analysis to prove the point. So, I ask you to make an educated decision based on numbers and numbers don't lie. Judging from the recent activity on our Web site alone, it is fair to say, the credit union community has spoken. The real thanks go to Sarah Snell Cooke, Donald Shoultz and the entire editorial staff for their diligence in making sure the facts are correct, the quotes are accurate and the articles are responsible. We all hold the content of our publication in high esteem.I also want to thank you, our readers, for making this possible. It reaffirms that we are hitting the mark and providing the news you need to be successful at your credit union. Keep it up folks, and thanks for making us No. 1-my all-time favorite number.–Thomas R. Greve
