Firstmark Credit Union, San Antonio, announced the addition of Andrew Apple as chief financial officer. Apple, a certified public accountant, has a business degree in accounting from Abilene Christian University and brings over 19 years of financial experience to the credit union. Previously, Apple served as chief operating officer for the Hanke Group.
Florida State University Credit Union, Tallahassee, Fla., announced the hiring of Doug Chapman as collections manager, Keith Hay as I.T. Director and Bill Pettis as a member of the mortgage services team.
El Paso Employees Federal Credit Union, El Paso, Texas, announced the promotion of Angel Trujillo to manager of the Saul Kleinfeld branch. Trujillo brings over nine years of experience in the financial services industry with him to the credit union.
Navy Federal Credit Union, Vienna, Va., said that Navy Federal's President and Chief Economic Officer Cutler Dawson was appointed as member of the Board of Governors at the Center for Creative Leadership, a nonprofit educational leadership development center catering to audiences in North America, Europe, and Asia.
Belvoir Federal Credit Union, Woodbridge, Va., announced a new management team at its Mt. Vernon branch. Margarita Freeman-Zapata will be branch manager and Fondu Conteh will be working as assistant branch manager. Freeman-Zapata was the assistant vice president of a bank in the area, and Conteh was assistant branch manager of a local bank.
Member One Federal Credit Union, Roanoke, Va., announced the promotion of Paul Economy to vice president/regional manager. Economy has worked at Member One since 1986, when he started as a member representative. Most recently, Economy has been the vice president/branch manager of the downtown Roanoke branch. Economy was also recently featured in Member One's 50 Million to Lend campaign. Economy was selected as the featured manager for the billboard portion of the campaign because of his years of service and recognition to the community. He currently serves in the Rotary Club of Roanoke, TAP/IDA Partnership Project, American Red Cross Appalachian Region and is president of the Roanoke Ballet Theatre.

Numark Credit Union, Joliet, Ill., announced the hiring of a new executive vice president, Michelle Balog. Balog holds a B.A. in political science from Purdue University Calumet. She is also a licensed attorney.
USA One Credit Union, Benesville, Ill., honored Membership Director Becky Danegger as she celebrated her 15th anniversary with the credit union. Danegger supports USA One CU members who join through the SEGs. She provides up-to-date information about the credit union's products and personalized services and communicates the needs of members to credit union management.
Kent County Credit Union, Grand Rapids, Mich., announced that Barbara Clark has been named the new vice president of the credit union.
Postal Credit Union, Woodbury, Minn., announced the promotion of Andy Barnick to manager of the members financial services program, the personal financial management service of the credit union. Barnick brings six years of experience in financial services to PCU.
Afena Federal Credit Union, Marion, Ill., congratulated Vice President of Finance Janet Shafer on her eight-year anniversary with Afena. Shafer is involved in Afena's community outreach and fundraising endeavors.
Members United Corporate Federal Credit Union, Warrenville, Ill., announced the hiring of Jeannine Smith as vice president of public relations. Smith will direct and oversee the corporate's public relations office, including its publications and written materials. She will also implement an integrated, targeted national media relations plan. Previously, Smith was a self-employed public relations consultant.

MaPS Credit Union, Salem , Ore., hired Kevin Cole as chief operations officer. Cole will be taking over for Mark Zook, who will become CEO in January. Cole was most recently CEO of Oregon Federal Credit Union.
U.S. New Mexico Federal Credit Union, Albuquerque, N.M., honored John R. Thompson, its former president and chief operating officer. The CU's Tennessee branch will now be the John R. Thompson Branch. Thompson, who passed away in 2008, served the credit union from 1979 to 2000. Under his leadership, membership and assets increased substantially. U.S. New Mexico FCU said the dedication of the branch will help Thompson's legacy live on.
