ALBANY, N.Y.– Four credit unions in New York have signed on with Covera Card Solutions FlexDebit program which allows them to combine their credit and debit processing onto one platform.

Moving from multiple processors to one has become something of a mini-trend among credit unions as they seek to streamline operations and cut costs. Covera is a payment processor associated with the N.Y. Credit Union League.

"Our FlexDebit program combines PIN and signature debit transaction processing onto one platform," said Kimberly McCumber-Ploof, vice president of Covera. "By dealing with only one processor instead of two, credit unions will find it easier to streamline their debit card operations."
