PHOENIX – Arizona State Credit Union is helping those in need stay hydrated.
The credit union has donated more than 1,350 cases of bottled water and cash contributions of more than $1,800 to the Phoenix Rescue Mission. The total donation will be enough water to support the needs of Phoenix Rescue Mission for at least six weeks.
The water drive began three weeks ago with staffers lining up in the hot afternoon to donate $5, or a case of water, for the opportunity to sink their favorite executive into a dunk tank.
Phoenix Rescue Mission's top priority is to provide heat relief to homeless people throughout the Valley. With the temperatures in triple digits, those living on the streets are at high risk for dehydration and other heat-related exposure.
