SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Eighteen more financial institutions havesigned on as users of MShift Inc.'s carrier- and device-independentmobile banking technologies.

Twelve of those new users are credit unions. They are the $1.2billion Arizona State CU in Phoenix; the $228 million Associated CUof Texas in Texas City; the $506 million Boeing Wichita CU inKansas; the $189 million Bronco FCU in Franklin, Va.; the $1.2billion CFE FCU in Orlando, Fla.; the $260 million FivePoint CU inNederland, Texas; the $343 million Heritage Trust FCU inCharleston, S.C.; the $577 million Knoxville TVA Employees CU inTennessee; the $229 million Neches FCU in Port Neches, Texas; the$384 million Proponent FCU in Nutley, N.J.; the $1.3 billionService CU in Portsmouth, N.H.; the $279 million Shell FCU in DeerPark, Texas; and the $878 million Silver Schools CU in LasVegas.

MShift now has more than 90 clients and said it is working withApple to offer an interface with the iPhone beginning inmid-July.

Its latest offering is active messaging, which allows financialinstitutions to send real-time alerts via text, e-mail, IVR andfax.

"Not only does this service make banking more convenient, but italso provides users with additional peace of mind. For example,active messaging is a great security feature - users can choose tobe notified every time a transaction, of almost any kind, is beingmade on their account," said Bill Stavros, vice president ofmarketing at Proponent FCU.

Stavros said MShift also "has been very responsive and flexible.For example, after launch, we had a member, who mentioned how muchthey loved the new service, inquire about adding a new activemessaging alert, for failed payments. Within days, MShift had thisnew alert up and running."
