PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Greylock Federal Credit Union has earned the Small Business Administration's top credit union lender ranking in Massachusetts for the third year in a row.

The $967 million credit union lent $3.13 million in SBA loans at the end of fiscal year Sept. 30, 2007, according to Greylock. Loans typically fall into the $100,000 to $150,000 range when the SBA guaranty portion is factored in according to Donald Kuczarski, senior vice president of lending at Greylock.

Kuczarski said the entrepreneurial spirit has been high in the area due to the departure of large employers such as General Electric.
