VIENNA, Va. — President George W. Bush has appointed Navy Federal Credit Union President/CEO Cutler Dawson to the President's Advisory Council on Financial Literacy.

The council, established by Executive Order, chaired by Charles Schwab, is charged with advising the White House and Treasury on efforts to boost financial literacy nationwide, including recommendations to better educate people from all walks of life about financial matters.

The council is also tasked with keeping America competitive by improving financial education efforts for youth in school and for adults in the workplace. Other members of the council include representatives from business, faith and non-profit organizations.
