RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. — Two large Pennsylvania credit unions have signed on with CO-OP Financial Services' CO-OP Network to give their members access to surcharge-free ATMs, CO-OP has announced.

The two are $1.4 billion Members 1st Federal Credit Union and $1.0 billion Citadel Federal Credit Union.

"Eighteen Pennsylvania credit unions have joined CO-OP Network since the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association announced its partnership with CO-OP Financial Services in April," said Stan Hollen, CO-OP CEO. "With more than 600 credit unions, Pennsylvania is an important market to expand surcharge-free ATM access for CO-OP Network credit union members. In a short time, three of the state's top five credit unions have already aligned with our organization."

"We were pleased to see CO-OP's push in Pennsylvania, as well as PCUA's backing of the organization," said George Nahodil, an executive vice president with Members 1st. "As CO-OP continues to expand its network, we want to be part of that growth and to provide our members with more convenience in the process."

"Citadel operates in a highly competitive marketplace," said Ed Maier, Citadel senior vice president of retail delivery. "Many of our competitors currently use ATM surcharge rebates as a promotional feature, so CO-OP Network allows us to differentiate within this environment. Our membership, many of whom commute into Philadelphia daily, gain access to a very convenient surcharge-free ATM network."
