WASHINGTON — The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network has asked for nominations for its Bank Secrecy Act Advisory Group.
Membership is open to financial institutions and their trade associations. The deadline for nominations is Dec. 14.
Given the current make up of the BSAAG, FinCEN is specifically looking for one banking trade association, one state level trade association, one international trade association, and two banking industry representatives, among others.
New members will be selected to serve a three-year term.
The BSAAG was established under the Annunzio-Wylie Anti-Money Laundering Act of 1992, comprised of those subject to BSA requirements, to provide advice on the functioning of BSA.
