WASHINGTON — NASCUS has clarified that it is not advocating for a credit union share insurance fund separate from the NCUA as reported online at www.cutimes.com yesterday. That portion of NASCUS' comment letter was in response to a specific question from Treasury on "the optimal role for a deposit insurer in depository institution regulation and supervision" regarding the consolidation of the entire financial services regulatory system. We regret the error.
