BETHESDA, Md. — Allpoint Network, the ATM network that charges financial institutions a fee to offer their cardholders surcharge free access to 32,000 ATMs nationwide has picked up the participation of the $825 million Sanford Federal Credit Union, headquartered in Palo Alto, California.
“We are very excited about Stanford FCU joining,” said Ben Psillas, president of Allpoint. “Stanford FCU continues to be an industry leader as they were the first financial institution to offer online banking and now is the first large California credit union to join Allpoint. With Allpoint and Stanford FCU's existing surcharge-free network, Stanford FCU truly provides its members unparalleled surcharge-free access.”
“Access is what members want and expect today,” John R. Davis, Stanford FCU's president/CEO, said, “and Allpoint adds a great number of access points across the country for our members.”
With more than 32,000 surcharge-free ATMs coast to coast, Allpoint provides members with greater access, convenience, and savings at leading retailers. Participation in Allpoint offers card issuers access to a nationwide physical distribution channel at a fraction of the cost of building and maintaining their own network, Allpoint said.
