KOKOMO, Ind. — Transmission Builders Federal Credit Union has turned to lending center services and consulting provider Lending Solutions Inc. to help fill its loan-by-phone, Internet lending and indirect underwriting service needs.

Through the loan-by-phone feature, members will be guided through the loan application process by LSI staffers who are able to cross-sell additional services and products on the credit union's behalf.

Transmission Builders FCU members will also be able to apply for loans via the credit union's Web site through LSI's Internet lending service, which is available 24/7. With an eye on quick loan approval responses, loans which fall outside of the automated guidelines are forwarded to LSI's loan specialists who decision each application within minutes.

The LSI indirect underwriting service enables dealers to simply submit auto applications online or by fax and receive a decision back within 15 minutes. LSI provides the immediate communication with dealers while working within industry third-party indirect lending platforms for quick turnaround decisions for applications not auto-approved.

"By acting as an extension of Transmission Builders' internal lending department, LSI enables the credit union to cost-effectively enhance its service levels and benefit from additional cross-selling and lending capabilities," said Dave Brooke, executive vice president of LSI.

LSI currently serves more than 300 financial institutions including credit unions, banks and mortgage lenders.
