SHERMAN OAKS, Calif. — Since becoming a credit union service organization Autoland, the nation's largest and the West Coast's leading credit union auto-buying service, has signed 13 new credit unions and now serves more than 300 CUs.

Telesis Community Credit Union acquired Autoland from Zag.com last March and the strategy since then has been to attract credit union partnerships to create a nationwide cooperative CUSO, thereby strengthening market share in an extremely competitive financial environment, said Mark Chandler, president of Autoland.

Autoland serves CUs in California, Oregon and Washington and delivers in excess of 10,000 cars every year. "Our value proposition is about member service, providing resources and web tools to assist members in making an educated auto-buying decision. We offer an advanced technology platform, a live contact center and a concierge auto-buying service," Chandler added.

"Every member who contacts us is considered an imminent vehicle buyer. We identify them real-time for our CU partners who in turn, will facilitate the loan being retained at the credit union. Members that take advantage of our resources are better educated to make an informed buying decision," Chandler said. "This is a great legacy for a company that has served only credit unions for more than 35 years. Autoland is now 'credit union-owned' that is exactly the right place to be."
