DUBLIN, Ohio–”Bob the Credit Union Guy” is coming to Ohio.
The Ohio Credit Union League said this week it has signed a licensing agreement with its Utah counterpart to launch the TV/radio awareness campaign early in 2008 through its chapter network.
Last spring the 'Bob-CU Difference' branding venture debuted in Montana through the Montana Credit Union Network and has been tried by the New Jersey Credit Union League as well under a Utah League of Credit Unions license.
“The production firm for the Utah League will be making modifications for our Ohio ads,” said a spokeswoman for the Ohio League which is working with participating chapters on fund-raising for individual markets.
There are seven to nine major markets in the state and not all of the league's 15 chapters will be participating to the same degree, she said. For months, chapter leaders and league staffers have been reviewing the estimated 10 to 12 league advocacy/awareness campaigns being broadcast and decided the Utah program would best fit its needs, she said.
