In Memoriam

Fred F. Brott, a member of the board at CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union in Alexandria, Va., recently passed away. Brott was a CommonWealth One member and volunteer for over 30 years. He held the positions of treasurer and vice chairman,
and served on the Field of Membership, Asset Liability and Nominating committees. The credit union said Brott will be fondly remembered as a passionate believer in the credit union movement.

Auto Body Credit Union, Lansing, Mich., re-elected Larry Rademacher and Kevin Mix to three-year terms on its board. The CU also elected Rademacher as chairman; Douglas Fernsler as vice chairman; Carl Seestedt as secretary; President/CEO Margo Kleinfelt as treasurer; Harold Brown as membership officer; and Dan Smith and Kevin Mix as directors.

William J. Humpfer, president/CEO of St. Louis Community Credit Union in St. Louis, has recently announced his retirement effective yearend 2007.

WEOKIE Credit Union, Oklahoma City, has promoted Brent Taylor to president/CEO.

Veridian Credit Union, Waterloo, Iowa, elected Scott C. Anderson, Thomas DeLong, Paul Gengler, DeLon R. Gobeli, and Ginger Shirley to three-year terms on its board. The following officers were elected: David R. Schultz, chair; Creston Van Wey, CFO; Vicki Atkins, first vice chair; Jim Kacher, second vice chair; and Paul Gengler, secretary.

Security Service Federal Credit Union, San Antonio, has promoted Beverly Johnson to assistant vice president of payment services.

Jim Girardeau, executive vice president of San Antonio Federal Credit Union, has been elected to the board of Southwest Corporate Federal Credit Union, Dallas.

Relationship with Dealers Crucial for Alabama Telco

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Alabama Telco Credit Union made its relationship with auto dealers a priority by naming Kay Carpenter Rochester as its new dealer development representative.
In her new role, Rochester will serve as a liaison between Alabama Telco and auto dealerships, providing remote customer service and training to auto dealership personnel, as well as maintaining and building dealer accounts.
Rochester started at Telco in September 2006 in marketing and quickly became project analyst for Telco's I.T. department. She has a degree in Business from the University of Mississippi and previously worked for EPL as an account relationship manager.
