BATON ROUGE, La. — Financial services IT security veteran Joseph Cooper has joined TraceSecurity Inc., a provider of security compliance and risk management solutions.
Cooper, founder and former CEO of Digital Defense Inc., will be director of financial services for Baton Rouge-based TraceSecurity (www.tracesecurity.com) and report to CEO Peter Stewart.
TraceSecurity has grown rapidly and now has a client list of more than 500 credit unions, banks and other organizations, the company says. Cooper will help oversee Trace Security's financial services division, Stewart says.

Cooper, who founded Digital Defense in San Antonio in 1999, holds Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) designations and a bachelor's degree in economics from Wake Forest University.
