HERNDON, Va. -- The Virginia Credit Union League will hold its third annual Financial Literacy Boot Camp on April 25 at Northwest Federal Credit Union.
The one-day Boot Camp is designed to arm attendees with everything a credit union needs to launch or enhance its financial education programs. The event also provides information about the newly revised NEFE High School Financial Planning Program and a variety of breakout sessions.
In addition, an awards ceremony will recognize Virginia's Desjardins, Dora Maxwell, and Louise Herring winners, all NYIB Classroom Presenters, Financial Literacy Visionary Award winner, Youth Advocate of the Year, Class Act Award Winner, and Education Partner of the Year. Held during Financial Literacy Month, the event attracts about 100 credit union members, teachers, and people associated with groups promoting financial literacy.
