DALLAS -- The $85 million LA DOTD Federal Credit Union, headquartered in Baton Rouge, has moved the processing of its 4,000 credit cards and 5,400 debit cards to TNB Card Services, the card processing arm of Town North Bank reported.

Cary Anderson, president/CEO of LA DOTD FCU, said the credit union had become increasingly unhappy with its previous payment processor and decided it was time for a change. "TNB has a solid reputation in the market for providing great service and for its processing capabilities," Anderson said. "I was already very familiar with TNB, so they were the first people we called when we decided to change."

Moving to TNB, Anderson added, "should mean a better quality service for our members and a better rewards program. Also, from the credit union side, we expect an improvement in the processing, with enhanced reporting capabilities and a more user-friendly interface into their system."

LA DOTD Federal Credit Union has 15,500 members and assets of $85 million. It is converting its PIN and signature debit and credit card processing to TNB.

"Like so many other credit unions have done recently, LA DOTD FCU turned to TNB for card processing for three key reasons: our reputation for quality customer service, our unmatched payments processing capabilities, and our user-friendly system," said Dusty Bowers, senior vice president for TNB Card Services. "They know we will deliver the best possible card program in the credit union industry for their members."

The credit union's previous processor had been Fidelity National Information Systems. The credit union won an award from Card Services for Credit Unions, the association of credit unions that process with FIS, for its public relations effort in card marketing in March 2004.
