SALT LAKE CITY — For their work with small businesses, two of Mountain America Credit Union's loan officers were recently recognized along with 13 others in the state by the Utah Certified Development Company for their work with small businesses.

Matthew Ashton and Jared Worthen were both honored for their efforts in providing Small Business Administration commercial real estate 504 loans in excess of $1 million. The Utah CDC, working with the $2 billion credit union, assists small businesses in financing up to 90% of the purchase of long-term fixed assets, such as land, existing and new building construction and equipment.

“It's an honor to have two loan officers make the million dollar club at Utah CDC,” said Curtis Anderson, vice president of SBA lending at Mountain America. “Both Matt and Jared have worked really hard this year in doing SBA 504 loans and making sure their members are given the best deal with the best pricing.”

Mountain America's CUSO, Member Business Lending, LLC, is the top credit union SBA lender in the country.
