NAPERVILLE, Ill. — Two hundred credit unions that are members of the Illinois Credit Union League's Service Corporation will join the Allpoint ATM network through a partnership between Allpoint and the service corporation.

Allpoint offers a nationwide ATM network that is surcharge-free to cardholders, but charges participating financial institutions a flat fee based on their card enrollment to use the service.

"We are delighted to be partnering with Allpoint," said George Fiegle, ICUL Service Corporation's chief operating officer. "Most big banks market the number of proprietary ATMs they own where customers won't pay a surcharge as a major competitive advantage. Now even the smallest credit union can offer more surcharge-free ATMs than the largest bank."

"This is a watershed event for Allpoint," said Ben Psillas, president of Allpoint Network. "By working directly with ICUL Service Corporation, Allpoint added one partner, but increased its membership size by 50% in one month. We look forward to working with ICUL Service Corporation in the future to further enhance and expand our relationship."
