MIAMI — Dade County Federal Credit Union has celebrated the opening of its three newest branches in Miami-Dade County.
DCFCU commemorated its expansion to the City of Miami Gardens by hosting two grand-opening receptions for its newest branches that brings a total of four branches to the fast growing area of northern Miami-Dade.
"The City of Miami Gardens represents a growing and vibrant community in Miami-Dade County, and we're proud to be a part of it," said George Joseph, the president/CEO of DCFCU. "The two new branches in Miami Gardens demonstrate our commitment to the area, and we look forward to continuing to expand our services throughout the county."
DCFCU also celebrated the grand opening of its first freestanding branch in the Kendall area. The 28,000 square-foot branch houses some of the credit union's corporate and administrative offices and features one of its vehicle sales and financing desks.
"A significant number of members live in the Kendall area, so it was only natural that we open a large branch in the heart of the community on its main thoroughfare," said Joseph. "The Kendall branch will help us to meet and exceed the expectations of our existing membership and provide the capability to support additional growth in this area."
With a total of 11 branches, DCFCU plans to grow to 16 branches by 2010–all of which will be located in Miami-Dade County.
