SEATTLE — During the Washington Credit Union League's Annual Convention, member credit unions received awards for their efforts throughout the year.
The Southeastern Washington Chapter of Credit Unions was recognized for its commitment to community with the WCUL's Dora Maxwell Award.
The Dora Maxwell Award is designed to promote and reward social responsibility in credit unions. The Southeastern Washington Chapter, composed of Gesa CU, Global CU, Kennewick Community CU, Monad FCU, Numerica CU and SECU, was honored for its Theft Awareness Week and Shred Fest Event.

Another winner at the convention was Gesa Credit Union.
Its Marketing Department was honored with Spectrum Awards, designed to reward excellence in credit union communication, in five categories.
The CU brought home awards for Branding (its member calendar); Coordinated Campaign (Welcome Home); Broadcast (Simply Switch); Three-Color Newsletter and Four-Color Newsletter.
Gesa is the fifth largest credit union in the state and competed with other credit unions throughout the state in the over $450 million in assets category.
