PORTLAND, Ore. and MAYNARD, Mass. – CU Business Group and Experion Systems, Inc. have come together in a partnership to bring the Member Business Advisor software solution to the credit union industry.
The Member Business Advisor, or MBA system, is a Web-based tool that allows credit union staff to ask the "right questions" in an interview with their business members. MBA will facilitate the discussion that ultimately identifies the best package of loan, deposit and other products for business members. MBA can also be used by business members for self service via the credit union's Web site.
The system will also feature a "save-a-session" capability so staff or members can refer back to previous interview results; electronic transfer of data to the business loan application and other loan forms; the ability to upload financial statements, tax returns, and other data for electronic transmission along with the application; and a built-in tickler system that will e-mail follow-up reminders to staff.

Experion Systems said it will build and house the entire system so the solution is completely outsourced for credit unions. The MBA will be configurable so that interview questions and resulting recommendations align with the credit union's business products and services. CU Business Group will provide the business services expertise necessary to develop the MBA system, as well as being the exclusive marketer of the MBA, the company said.
The Member Business Advisor system is expected to be introduced this fall. CU Business Group and Experion will host a series of webcasts over the next several months to provide further information on the MBA system, both companies said.
The corporate credit union-owned CU Business Group provides business lending, deposit and consulting services to more than 185 credit unions in 27 states. Experion Systems provides automated advice technology used by credit union personnel to identify the best financial products for their members.
