WASHINGTON-Acting FDIC Division of Supervision and Consumer Protection Director Sandra L. Thompson has announced the appointment of Sylvia H. Plunkett as the new regional director of the Division of Supervision and Consumer Protection's Chicago region. The appointment is effective May 14, after which Plunkett will oversee the FDIC's bank supervision activities in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin. She is a 28-year veteran with the agency and has served as the deputy director for compliance in the Dallas Region since 2002. She previously served as regional director for the former Division of Consumer Affairs in the Memphis Region, where she directed the compliance examination, consumer affairs and community affairs programs.
