WASHINGON – The National Credit Union Foundation has a recordamount, $800,000, available for grants in this next round offunding, but the Foundation also has a record number of grantapplications, 54, waiting for a crack at that pool of cash. TheNCUF will fund programs which seek to help broaden or improveconsumer access to credit unions, further financial education, helpcredit union members save money or accumulate assets and to helpsmall credit unions develop. “The National Credit Union Foundationis well positioned to assist credit unions in their efforts toinvest in their members and their communities,” pointed out NCUFExecutive Director Steve Delfin. “And credit unions have stepped upwith some very creative programs to serve people of modestmeans.”
