WASHINGTON-The National Association of Community Credit Unions has announced that NCUA Chairman JoAnn Johnson will be the keynote speaker at the organization's seventh Annual Conference in 2005. The conference, scheduled for Oct. 23-26 in Boston, boasts a number of breakout sessions to cover a variety of timely issues, ranging from innovative public relations tailored to community charters to board governance to developing a Hispanic marketing strategy. Additionally, CUNA Chief Economist Bill Hampel, Bear Paw Credit Union CEO Al Vukasin, and Andrews Federal Credit Union CEO Michael Hale will run an optional pre-conference workshop Sunday, Oct. 23 entitled "Reaching the Modest Means Segment and Making an Impact in Your Community."
